Humanitarian Award nominees sought

Nominations are being accepted for a Staff Organization Humanitarian Award which will be presented at the Staff Diversity Day event on March 11, 2008. Nominations are open to any full-time or part-time employee of the University who does not hold faculty rank.
The purpose of the award is to recognize staff members who believe in equality and the welfare of others and have helped the welfare of humankind in one’s community or state and/or other countries in one or more of the following areas

• Economic or Social Equality
• Community Building
• Teaching/Education
• Child Advocacy

To nominate a University staff member, submit a completed nomination form and a letter of support by January 31, 2008 to Melody Harris, Cone University Center. Letters should address the nominee’s accomplishments in one or more of the areas above and provide pertinent information that will clearly indicate the accomplishment.
